Learning to play an instrument and becoming part of the band helps develop key values of Commitment, Teamwork, Professionalism, Personal Development, Family and Enjoyment. We create a safe and fun environment for all school ages.
pipes
Start by learning on a practice chanter to learn the fundamentals and some tunes, then you’ll progress to full bagpipes
drums
Start with a drum pad and learn the basics as well as developing finger control, before graduating to a Snare, Tenor or Bass Drum
Our Story
The Band is run by a small team of tutors and parents who provide a community asset to the City of Edinburgh.
community events
We perform at a variety of community events within Edinburgh and the Lothians throughout the year. We can travel further with adequate notice.
