The Band
The band’s pipers, snare, tenor and bass drummers are all aged between 8 and 16 and are pupils at schools within the
Boroughmuir High School, Edinburgh, catchment area.
They have really enjoyed and benefited from all the new experiences which playing in the pipe band has given them, from playing at school concerts and highland games to St Patrick’s Day Parades and performing live on TV.
Committee
The band was set-up and is now run by a group of parent volunteers, who share responsibility for managing the day to day tasks to keep the band going. This includes amongst other things organising the school clubs, events, transport, website, equipment, finance and fundraising. New committee members are always welcome. No specific skills needed just the passion to see the band continue to go from strength to strength!
